Bio:
I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), holding a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a specialization in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work. I bring extensive experience in mental health and healthcare settings, supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and significant life transitions.
My practice is grounded in compassion, respect, and genuine collaboration. I draw on evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Crisis Intervention, while also integrating holistic and cognitive-focused modalities including Cognitive Stimulation Therapy, Reminiscence Therapy, and Reality Orientation Therapy. I am also a certified Montreal Cognitive Assessment provider, with specialized experience supporting cognitive health and functioning.
I strive to create a safe, warm, and non-judgmental space where you feel truly heard, understood, and supported at your own pace. Together, we focus on building practical coping strategies, strengthening emotional regulation, and restoring a sense of stability and resilience; especially during times that feel overwhelming or uncertain. I deeply believe that healing is possible when people are met with empathy, consistency, and the right support.
Fluent in English, Malayalam, and Tamil, and with an understanding of Hindi, I am committed to providing culturally responsive and inclusive care that honours each person’s unique story and background.
